Coming or going? comments and critique please

Coming or going? or neither? Just a one word response would do. I'm just not sure which one to work with. I'm thinking the "coming" one though.

I like the concept but in both the subject is walking out of the photo into nowhere.

I prefer going, composition works better.

I agree with both of you. I have one of a man walking down at the top of the stairs but he lacks a bit of charm to put it nicely....he is texting on his phone, yuck. Maybe the answer is to go back tomorrow and try again.

Either would be great, if the man was at the opposite end of the stairs so he's more walking "towards" something.
