For the 105mm F/2.8 VR micro, what would be the best recommended filters? mainly shooting close-ups and portraits.

Other than a protector filter, I would just exhaust what the lens can do first then worry about others.

Great lens, by the way. Fantastically sharp.

maybe a polarizer if you're shooting flowers and stuff, to make the colors pop a little more?
