Common Loons(Pic Heavy)

I was out kayaking on Penn State University's Lake Perez yesterday and the temp was a balmy 82F. A couple of Common Loons let me follow them around while they went about their daily chores.

Canadian bird par excellence… a tad soft maybe?

Perhaps a wee bit soft but that doesn't detract from the majesty of these Great Northern Divers. Only ever seen them in winter plumage over here. Nice low pov from the kayak too.

Nice set, I like #2 best. I have to get my kayak out on Myakka Lake some time. they took the dam out so now I can get close (but not too close) to the alligators and all the birds that hang out with them.
