i have a san disk image mate 12 in 1, it reads cf. that being said. it pisses me off because it uploads pictures into like 20 different folders instead of like all pictures in one folder. my only problem with it.

That's really a function of the software not the reader itself.

Also the camera...like my XT will only put 100 pics per folder, and then move onto a different folder for the next 100. But yes, as jstuedle said, some software ought to be able to work around this.

I had a LOT of trouble with card readers. The first one I bought was cheap, and only USB 1.1. It was SLOW when transferring 800 pictures. So, I bought an iRocks that was rated well at Newegg. It was fast, but unreliable...it would just stopp ptransferring pictures every now and then.

After getting fed up of clicking "Try Again" i purchased a Sandisk from Provantage for like $15 bucks...only accepts CF, cause that's all I need. Very good product, very fast, does just what I need, small, sleek, etc. Couldn't be happier.

My advice: go with a good brand, and make sure it says USB 2.0.

sorry for going slightly off topic, but to me it sounds like SanDisk are pretty good when it comes to stuff like this, am i right?

I bought one of my readers from B&H and the other from Ritz. I have another wto that I bought locally when I was in Britain. They all work flawlessly as does the multi-card reader that my wife uses for her laptop.


I have no problems with any of them.
