Computer Hard Drive Upgrade Questions

I'm sick of my old, slow computer, so I finally decided to replace it. I found a great deal on a Lenovo K450e desktop and ordered it yesterday. It comes with a 2 TB primary drive with an 8 GB SSD cache. I was originally planning on getting a larger SSD to use as my OS and programs drive. Does the small 8 gig SSD that is used for the cache match the performance of a true SSD used as a drive with the OS and programs on it, or will a replacement SSD be worth it?

So far I haven't even been able to find specs that indicate what interface the hard drive uses, so I'm not sure what to order, but step one is figuring out if a larger SSD is even worth it in is case. My assumption is yes, but thought I'd ask. I'm not exactly a tech guy, but love messing around with the stuff to learn about it.

That 8GB SSD is part of the hybrid drive that includes the 2TB drive. It is an all in one drive unit. My desktop has a similar hybrid drive except it is 256GB SSD and 3TB 7200 rpm standard drive. The system learns what you use most and will put that onto the SSD. If you want a separate SSD drive if you have the bay space you could put one in. If you want true performance and if you system will support it put in a SSD PCIe drive. Faster than a standard SSD. My laptop has a 1TB PCIe SSD drive and it smokes everything I have ever seen for speed. Even my desktop.

Any good SSD (like Samsung) comes with cables and software to clone your original OS and programs to the SSD.
