confused about flashes... ???

id like to get a decent flash that i can use on the camera with and without a diffuser, and also off the camera as a remote flash and also messing around with 30sec exp....

now i know there are a TON of flashes available that do these things, but i currently have a fuji s9100 so it would be nice if it was compatible wit it...
