There is a new gas station being built next to my apartment block and I've been taking a bunch of shots during progress....I missed them knocking the old one down unfortunately.

This is an interesting series, more so since I have never seen a petrol station being built, so I have never seen any team build the big petrol and diesel tanks into the ground! A building site of the kind must be every little (and big) boy's dream!

So you also think that the person in the back in Photo 3 did something wrong and is being told off by his boss for it? ;)

Some cool shots. Would be nice to have some different camera angles in there.

thanks Corinna, very happy you like these as I wasn't sure of anyone would be interested and I have some of the tanks being put in, I'll post them up. The thing that I was surprised about is the same team does nearly everything, the only specialist people were the pipe fitters.

The guy with the white hat is one of the bosses and yes I suspect he was getting chewed out lol.

thanks glad you like em....I am shooting these from my bedroom window, no other possible high angles and shooting on the ground provides nothing interesting either.

That first shot, the hole in the ground is impeccably placed! That's not a construction hazard in the slightest. ;D

Pretty organized crowd there and so neat.

yes indeed that's something that impressed me about their operation...but then there were occurances like below...

heh heh I wondered if anyone would pick up on that, an enviromental inspector standing next to a gaping hole lol. Fortunately it was gone about 30 min after that when they took the other tanks out of the ground.
