My tendency is toward cropping into the lower right corner's "gutter", and eliminating that sliver of space, so that the black vest is at the edge of the frame....but that ruins the 4x5 aspect. I tried it last night, I thouyght it looked better cropped ever so slightly on that lower right area.

Yes， I will agree with you about "so slightly on that lower right area" and make arm lower exposure.

How about cropping the way it makes the image the striongest, and then.....enclosing the image with some type of border effect, or a "digitial matte"? Cropping for maximum impact...and then expoanding the canvas area with some border/matte stuff? Two birds, one stone? Ot would that be two stones, one bird? Not sure...

I tried, but it really looks weird when you crop that sliver.
