Along with the bit of lightness in the first photo, I really like the added element of orange from the lights in the last in which the sky begins to look quite heavy and oppressive.
These Powershots are quite good little cameras, aren't they?

Thanks LaFoto! - The PowerShot is my first "real" digital. The only touch up I did on these shots was to do 80% unsharp mask at 1 level. If you read professional reviews of the camera, most people say the images turn out a little soft. But they sharpen up nicely with post processing. It also has a tendency to over expose in most situations, which looks nice and brightly exposed for the most part, but, over exposure doesn't render the true scene and leads to blown highlights. I adjust the EV to the negative side a tad for almost every shot. But, all in all, I'm very happy with this little camera so far. It's an excellent replacement for my little 35mm point n shoot. (Not to mention, I can shoot all day long for FREE of charge with the rechargeables in! I'm gung-ho digital all the way now.)
