Cormorant at Chafford Gorges

I have been an academic zoologist for my working life, but I do not have either the time or money to visit exotic places. I was visiting a nearby nature reserve in South Essex when I spotted this Cormorant in the middle of the lake. Although it breaks some of the rules of composition, I think that it gets the feel of the place.

Very nice; I can't help thinking that a bit off the left-hand side and the bottom just to move him (her?) out of more-or-less dead centre wouldn't go amiss.

Thanks for that. I shall try that if I show it off again. It was selected for church fund-raising calendar for this year, so it can't be too bad.

Its great!! But I agree getting the bird more out of dead centre would make it even better.
