Cormorant in flight

[coastalconn]

I think cormorants are pretty cool and I have so many boring shots of them that I normally get home and delete them. This morning this one surprised me and popped out of some reeds really close. I was pretty happy with the reflection and thought it was pretty cool for a cormorant shot... I had the promaster 1.7x TC on so exif is 510mm, F6.7ish, ISO 400, 1/1250th comments welcome...

Very nice, and excellent timing. It looks like one feather in the far wing is actually touching the water.

That's an excellent photo. Shooting any bird in flight is really hard.
