Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Hey, been diving through photography composition books and such, trying to get my compositions more interesting. So I decided to create a composition with symmetry. Turns out it's pretty hard HA, but I had a go today down in the Mailbox in Birmingham and come up with this :) Have a lewk and pull it apart.

Thanks for your time.

I think I understand your intent here, but what I see is almost more of a reflection than a symmetrical composition.

Yeah, I see what you mean. I just presumed that reflections had to take a literal form lol.

I don't know my technical vocab that well but I would say it is more like a reflection. Also, a very busy image and I feel lost in it. I think for a reflection you did well in that aspect, but I can't get over my eyes wondering when I look at it.

Yeah I wanted to go for that busy feel to the image, I think I chose wrongly there. But I think I learned a lot from composing the shot.

well learning is what it is all about. If you were going for the busy then you got it. The only thing I would say about that is, I don't have a problem with the busy as much as I couldn't find somewhere to focus my attention. Keep it up! Don't get me wrong this is not a horrible image just trying to give you feedback.

Thanks loads for the feedback dude, now I look deep into it it's quite hard to focus on one thing. I HOPED that the lines would draw you into the centre, but then I guess that's the busiest place in the image!

no problem that is what feedback is for. Yeah the lines do draw you there but like you said it is the busiest part. I think if there was just anything in the center there that slightly stood out it would work.

The lines do draw me to the center, but there isn't really anything there to be drawn to.
