99% of the time for wildlife I have a 500mm f4 w/ 1.4 tc on my D3s

This is something I have been wondering about. What led you to buy the Tamron when you have the 200-400 and the 500?

I wanted to see what the weight was like . I shoot handheld most of the time so I wanted if for times when I go on longer hikes.

Great shots, I love the detail in the feathers of the second one but my favourite is the third. thata red ring drawing you into the eye is stunning

And now it's snowing again !!!! I thought they said 1 to 3 inches but we already have 4 and it shows no signs of slowing down !!!!
