I was in Nashville on New Years and snapped these two shots.

1. The AT&T Tower (known locally as the "Batman" building)

2. The Shelby Street Bridge

in #1 you should have more 'bat' in it you know faced a bit more head on
#2 im just not feeling it also the lines from other bridge in the background are kinda distracting
as someone else already pointed out nice night shots :) keep shooting

Batman - I agree. I was down at the river in Riverfront Park and had just turned around to walk back up to the street, looked up and saw this shot. I had no idea it would turn out as well as it did, or I would have shot some more. I may have to go back in a week or two.

Bridge - Yes, I considered cloning it out, but just haven't taken the time to sit down at the computer that long.

Thanks!

ohh i'd love to live in nashville, been there twice, fell in love with the city and can not wait to go back... hopefully for good, just need to find a decent job there and i'll be there in a heartbeat

Visited 3 times... planning on moving there, God willing, in September.

Well Howdy (future) Neighbor!

Howdy!

Do you live *in* Nashville? Or were you just visiting for NYE?

No, I live North of Nashville, in a small town. I'm only about 3 miles from the KY line. I go to Nashville for a lot of concerts. And on the night I took these pictures, I was there for the New Years "Bash on Broadway".

im currently working on the fire sprinkler system design for the new nashville music city center. things pretty huge. and shaped like a guitar. its going to be pretty crazy when its done. pics look nice. my last few trips down there have been postponed. hoping to get out there soon and sneak away from work to get some pic taking in.

I love them!
You didnt by chance to get any of the Grand Ol Opry did ya? I'd like to find a real nice one and give it to my dad, he played there once, backed up lil jimmy dickens...dads older now and not in great shape...like to give him something to smile at for once. lol

No, don't have any of the Opry.

Are you looking for exterior or interior?

And do you mean the current Opry, or the older Ryman?

whichever was open during the mid 80's...I couldnt' have given two craps about my dads music when I was a kid...now I care...now that I'm grown...lol
oh and exterior...I have a snap shot of Jimmy here (dont know how it got to my house, but a bag of my dads stuff is here) and I was thinking of putting the pic of my dads band, Jimmy and the Opry all in one frame and giving it to him.

I was on tour with my friends bands just riding along, and stopped in Nashville! They played at some place there that I do not remember the name of, and then the owners let us stay in their house!!!!!! Free!!!!!!

...I like Nashville!

Nice! Were these hand held?

Yes, both were hand held. Had the 18-105 VR kit lens on that night. I would love to go back with my tripod, set it up down near Riverfront Park, and try some more shots with the tripod and remote. Waiting on warmer weather.
