Couple of the kids from todays shoot

Here are some of the kids photos, I guess they like being center of attention because they cooperated a bit. It helped when I told them "if you look in my lens real closely, you'll see my eyeball when I press the button" Gave them a challenge...and a reason to look at the camera. lol

In 2 he looks as if he saw your eye. I really like 2. My hubby would be so jealous. He got 3 girls. I told him I would try again if and when he was able to be the prego one. In 7 I don't like that you cant see his other hand. It's just weird looking to me. I like the color in his face tho. My middle daughter wears glasses, and I always have trouble with a glare on her glasses. I don't see one on his so good job there. I always end up having to take her lens out of her frames. Do you have any tips or tricks for glasses?? 6 he has a look like hmmmm what trouble can I get into next it's cute. The others are cute they look like they were hamming it up in front of your camera and that helps. I know you were prolly looking for more techincal CC, but I am not experenced in studio shooting...I did work a JCpeenys in there photo studio about 10years ago when I was 20, but really as long as you can push a button, and add and subtract you can work there so again I will leave the Techincal CC to the professionals here and just tell you what I the consumer likes.

as for the glasses. I just moved him till the refelctions went away. had him tilt head here and there, if I didn't like it then I moved the lights. Sort of a balancing act, no real "tricks"

With kids, what I usually do is shoot after the pose. Mom says "do this" and they do it and they are all tense and akward...so I frame up ready and as soon as they break the pose I snap and catch them in their normal element. Kids don't like to be "posed" from what I can tell and it makes un natural pictures, so my trick there is to snap after the pose, not during.

This one was a struggle in getting the glasses to cooperate with what I had in my head. once the glare finally went away I snapped, but I didn't notice that his frames cut his eyes in half...so I don't like this shot for that reason.

Yes glasses are a pain for that reason, and the glare reason, but you dont want them to take them off cause then its not them. I most of the time end up taking lens out cause I get so tired of messing with getting the shot without the glare. Me PS skill are amiture at best to going back and fixing it is not an option for me.
