Couple Recent Birds

I haven't spent much time lately shooting the birds but now with a thick layer of the white stuff on the ground the light is hard to resist.

Here are a couple fav's from the other day, would love to hear your thoughts, thanks for taking a look!

I like them all even though they are a bit noisy.Are they heavily cropped?

Not big crops but higher ISO Bill.
There is something about a bit of noise in these shots that really reminds me of some old Christmas cards my Mom used to always get, I like that

Try to bring out some detail out of the shadow on the last one, you'll make the eye pop more and make the shot better. Nice shots.

Great set Pixel. I like the first one - it looks like it is trying to "out stare" you - he who blinks first and all that. The third one with the snow is also very nice - the snow just adds that little "special" effect. :thumbup:

Mish, for some reason it isn't in the exif (odd) when I'm shooting them on days with lower light my ISO is usually pretty close to my shutter speed so I'm going to say about 1000 which is where I find it really starts to show with my 60d in a lot of situations, this being one of them

I love these. And although I'm partial to chickadee's, the first one is my absolute favorite. I also like the little bit of noise.

TPF is an awesome resource, I started shooting 2 years ago when I bought my 60D and joined here at the same time, it has been an awesome resource, if it aint here there is a link and if it isn't here and there isn't a link you are wayyy over thinking it imho lol

Cool! Don't know if you have ever been to Lemoine Point, but it is a fantastic place to shoot birds. If you bring seed, they will come to you. If you don't bring seed, they will dive bomb your head to remind you to bring it next time.
