OK, it's official. I'm an idiot. Picked up a cpl filter the other day and, well, just screwed it onto my lens without much thought.

After reading this thread and seeing phrases such as "turned on" and "turned off"...I decided to actually turn my CPL filter, and something MAGICAL happened....

I wondered why the glass on the filter wasn't "fixed."

^haha, ya well before I got mine I thought that to adjust it you had to turn the filter, like on the threads, I didn't realize there was a separate piece that turns, if that makes sense. So my worry was that you could be turning it and accidently unscrew it completely and have it fall out and break. I should have realized there are people smarter than me out there!.

I have another question too, when you are using a CPL do you have to constantly adjust it when you are walking around at an event. Will I have to adjust it for every different angle of the car and when I shoot vertical vs. horizontal?
