Critique my photos

I am new here.... and am hoping to gain alot of knowledge in photography. I recently started using a canon T50 with a 50 mm and telephot lens. I am trying to learns the ropes without using the flash. I'm not looking to get into photography proffesionally, just to take good pictures of my 6 1/2 month old son. Here are some pictures that I have taken recently. I like them, but something just seems off. They still look grainy to me. Oh and I use 400 film. Thanks for the advice! (sorry the picturs are huge...)
OHHHHHH also, I got them processed at walgreens, could they look grainy b/c I got them on a CD?

I haven't shot film on over 20 years so I can't remember how grainy 400asa was but it's going to be a bit grainyer than 100asa. You missed focus a bit on #2. #4 is awesome because the expression!

Strange, because the indorrs shot is darker than the outdoors, yet its less grainy then the 1st 2 images.
The pictures are great, you don't really have anything messed up.
ISO400 film is about this grainy I think... if this bothers you, I'd suggest ISO200.

Note: If you shoot portraits (any kind.. unless you're storytelling) I think you should use f/lowest - f/4... (on a 50mm.. different on telephoto of course... etc.).

If you have a Costco nearby, and a membership, I'd get them printed out there. I've not had anything printed at Walgreens, but read bad things about them. Costco does a really, really good job. In my opinion at least!

There is a lot you can do with noise in post processing, if you don't mind a softer image...just keep the eyes sharp if you can; some like noise though. Here is just a few examples of different ways on the same image...I thought I'd play a bit. Some of them you'd have to heal out the leftover noise in some areas, but you get the idea.
