From a non photographers point of view I like the 1st and 3rd one. My eye focuses in the middle were the dirt is.. not on the flower on the 2nd picture.

My favorite of the series is the third photo. The second might look better horizontal rather than vertical.

The other problem was that I only had a brief time to shoot them and they were in full sun.

I agree that the second one isn't the best, but I wanted to show the pair with their stamins showing.
