What size should I crop images to when putting on CD for clients? Whats the standard/general size? 8x10, 4x6, 5x7?

why would you want to crop anything unless necessary? Isnt that more work?

Just give them the images uncropped (so leave them at 2:3) and let them choose the crop when they make their prints (if you are giving them permission to print).

So I should leave it uncropped? Right now in Light Room I leave the crop at "Original" (which I think is 4x6?) and export it as that. But someone in a photog facebook group I belong to said "always crop to 8x10". So im just a little confused..lol

I would say it depends on what the CD is for. Is it the final product, or is it more like proofs they can look at and then order what they want in the size they want? If they're proofs, leave them as is. If it's a final product, you'd have to find out what they want for 4x6's (or any other size that's 2:3 aspect ratio) and what they want in 8x10 (1:1.25 aspect ratio),and possibly any other aspect ratio (like 5x7), and you'll have to crop those beforehand.

You should crop them all to every standard aspect ratio.
