I had an opportunity to handle and photograph the CSMC Revelation 20 gauge round body over and under shotgun that the Connecticut Conservation Officer's Association will be raffling on 4/27/19 yo support the Conservation Officer James V. Spignesi Jr. Memorial Scholarship. C.O. Spignesi was shot and killed in the line of duty on 20 NOVEMBER 1998 while conducting a foot patrol to combat wildlife poaching. The CCOA has supported a $10,000 scholarship at the UCONN School Of Agriculture and Natural Resources Engineering, Jim's alma mater. Proceeds from the raffle of this one of a kind CSMC Revelation Shotgun will aid CCOA in their sponsoring the scholarship along with the Spignesi Foundation.
The CSMC / SPIGNESI REVELATION 20 gauge, a beautiful shotgun dedicated to the memory of Connecticut State Environmental Conservation Police Officer James V. Spignesi Jr.
The tribute engraving to the memory of Conservation Officer James V. Spignesi Jr. as located on the left side of the top barrel.
The bottom side of the beautifully case colored receiver is engraved REMEMBER 648 (Jim's shield and call number were 648). Badge number 648 has been retired from service since C. O. Spignesi's line of duty death on 20 NOVEMBER 1998.
The case coloring in the round body of this shotgun is simply spectacular. The upgraded and nicely figured wood, cleanly cut checkering, tight fit, and superb balance make this slim 20 gauge O/U a smoothbore that any upland bird hunter would love to carry whilst afield.
