Custom frames.........

So how is that price? Does that sound reasonable in a pinch?
I have no experience buying custom frames...... :sexywink:

I've paid more than that for frames before (just the frame, mat & glass not included)...

Kinda hard to say if it's worth it without seeing it.

I mean (especially with wood frames), there is a huge range in quality/styles.

Well my bill was going to be $400 and then they were having a sale and I got it down to about $160.....lol I just didn't know how inflated the $400 was....=) Oh well if I'm taking I have to go back in tomorrow.

Post a picture of it. Particularly the corners, and how well they fit/match. (Just one corner should be fine ... unless there's one that looks really bad or something. :lol:

$400 is a bit high for me, but I can certainly see how some frames could cost that much. I would suspect that there was quite a bit of mark-up if they let a $400 frame go for $160 (you know that there's no way they sold it to you at a loss).

ACMoore had a small rack of frames that were ordered but for some reason or another they were never bought. So they might of been happy to get some money out of it. Who knows.......I'm going back tomorrow to ask more questions and to look at more of the sale frames.

If it's stuff that a customer ordered, but never picked up ... yeah, I guess I can see them letting it go for less than they wanted (I still don't think they're actually selling it at a loss though).

At the very least, they might give it to you at cost - but I doubt that. Anyway - I think that could be a good price, but again, it's hard to say without seeing it. If they have more that they're willing to get rid of for cheap, I might pick up a couple more. :lol:
