D300 eye cup

Hi, I wear eye glasses and find the original eye cup too closed to the body. I have used an 'egg shape' eye cup but it didn't fit in well with my glasses. I was told the DK2 can be fitted into my D300 but you need some modifications.

Is there somewhere I can learn how it is done or it is simply buy and slot in? Thanks for you help
