D80=Canon?

What's the Canon equivalent of the D80?

I don't really think there is an equivalent.
The XTi is lacking some features, but the D40 is wayyy better.

Really? I'd pick the XTi over the D40 any day.
Canon and Nikon really have a staggered marketing in terms of features and price often too:

D40, XTi, D80, 40D, D300, 5D is how things go.
