Hi there.

I trying to take few shots so I can use Photoshop photomerge to make a nice panoramic shot, but I have to lock the focus and exposure so I wont have "shadows". Keeping the AF-L, AE-L button pressed is not too convinient and I was wondering if there is a way to make it easier?

Set the camera to manual exposure and turn the autofocus off.

Yep, you can change the button so that you only press it once and it locks, instead of holding it.

Change the settings in the menu, cant remember which one exactly means you only have to press it once, ill check.

That works for exposure but not for focus (Page 94).

Definitely shoot in manual exposure mode, you set the Fstop and the shutter speed. As far as focus goes, I assume your subject is far from you??? I would use a tripod, have your F stop set to F8 or higher to get more depth of view.

For photomerge to look best each image should overlap about 1/3 and you pan from shot to shot.

Experiment...this is a fun thing to do.
