D800 vs D40 image size comparison.. wow

So my very first DSLR was a Nikon D40, which had 6.1 Megapixels. Not bad for being back then. My newest camera is a D800 which has 36.3 Megapixels, which is insane for a 35mm digital camera.
I recently tested out my D40 again and found the files to be supersmall.
That's why I wanted to compare the two with this little photoshot creation.
Pretty insane the difference between the two.

Haha yes indeed. Finished editing the photos for today, so why not make a comparison.

I'm jealous. Still truckin' along with my 20d (8.1mp). I've been telling myself that lenses and good compositional practices will make up for my lack of upgrade-itude...I don't know how much longer I can hold out lol.

Unless u nail the focus and shoot at 3 times the shutter speed, or on a tripod while printing at 11x17 or larger, I doubt you'll see much resolution difference in your photos.
