Now I know this is probably a dumb question but does the D90 flash fire with non-AF lens? My 18-200mm and 35mm are both AF work just fine and flash fires like it is supposed to. But my 50mm (favourite lens) is from the K1000 days but it's the first lens I've ever used and I love the pictures it comes out with.

However, in the dark, it's a no-go. When my lens is mounted on the D90 the flash icon flashes. I'm just wondering if I could force the flash to fire, or if there is a workaround/hack that can do this...

I'll save up for an AF 50mm when I get the money.

Just to clarify: You are trying to use a 50mm pentax mount lens on a nikon body?

Oh whoops, didn't mean it that way. From the K1000 days, meaning, wayyy back when I was just starting to experiment with film cameras. I had several Pentax cameras and a couple of Nikon cameras, all analog, and the 50mm was my favourite lens.

I guess nobody would understand what I meant by that besides myself. :blushing:
