I really like the first one. That is a Red Twig Dogwood.

The second might be a tad busy, too little focus (not lens-wise, but the other kind of...) on the flowers, too many twigs, and I think the dark brown ones (that I assume belong to another bush all together) are quite distracting. They might be what makes you feel uneasy about this second one. The first is really nice!!!
What with spring all around and about to turn into summer (if only the temperatures would realise that, too, we have a glorious 52F outside, groan!), I have heaps and heaps of photos of this kind in my digital folders now!
