Darkroom Print Questions!

This is one I've been working on, on and off, for the last five or six years. I've played with cropping, texture, contrast, etc.

I wanted some sort of texture and I've experimented with lots of different techniques. I finally settled on this one - it's WD-40 on glass. It seems to give it a little "age" for me.

I guess my question is this - How do you feel about the use of texture? Should I just have left it alone?

I'll have to get the original print scanned tonight or tomorrow and get it up here, but I thought it would be best to post this version on it's own at first.

I'm not a big fan of manipulations, but WD-40 on glass is pretty creative.

The photos is ok, but to me it looks like an effect you would find in some photo-editing software.

The texture is cool, and almost gives the feeling of a hard rain. I think it's appropriate for the subject matter.

Perhaps try a texture screen of some rippled water as well.
