The catch lights in #1 are actually from a big oval reflector. I had the softbox on a lightstand pointed down and at her, and the reflector right below it, pointed up - kind of a poor man's clamshell setup. That first one also had a flash from camera right, which was a little overpowered (hair shadow on face kinda bugs me).

The catchlights in the other 2 photos are the softbox.

I like round catchlights... I'm in the process of building a DIY beauty dish out of a mixing bowl. Nice edit Usagani

I agree... the flash to the right was the culprit I think. It created hot spots (side of nose, cheeks) that really don't belong. Wish I had it off.
