Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Took a few photos this evening while out at Pismo Beach about an hour before sunset. Experimented a little bit with fill flash while taking pictures of my girlfriend and got some other shots. A pelican showed up and perched on the pier for a little while for everyone to see too :)

Did a little quick PP on these 3 that I thought were the best out of about 180 pictures... not the best ratio >.< Mostly having trouble getting properly exposed pictures.. especially with backlit subjects. Might try to work on one of my backlit photos and post it later.

These were taken with my D90 at ISO 200 and the 18-105 kit lens.

1. I wanted to get a more expansive view for this one. I could have gotten closer to the base but wanted to get the entire flag pole and the trees in the shot. I think a wider angle lens would be ideal for this.

3. Here I attempted to use fill flash.. not entirely sure how good it turned out. I was definitely able to get more detail in her face and whatnot with the flash as compared to without it. I guess that's the whole point? I just allowed the flash to automatically compensate.. did not manually control the power at all. Would I get better results if I manually controlled the flash?

3 hours and no comments? Are they just not interesting photos?

#2 of the pelican is a great shot. The other two I don't find as interesting.

Your flagpole shot has a lot of distracting stuff at the bottom of the picture. I have had the same problem before as well. Unfortunately, they never put flagpoles where other people don't go.

Your pelican looks really good. Not sure I would change anything.

I don't know anything about fill flash so I cannot give you a critique on this.
