Dead pixels, help me!

I recently bought a d80 off ebay, it came with alot of extras at a good price £260 and everything was fine until just now when i went out to take some night shots... i saw some dead pixels, i recognised from lcd monitors. So i took a picture with the lens cap on and saw lots of them, i need to know what to do to fix this :/

"The clone tool". That is how you fix them.

Well... yer...

Well, you could NOT take pics at night....problem solved. "It's a D80. You're not shooting film."

When you swim, you get wet. When you go out in the cold, you get cold. When you do nighttime long exposures, you get stuck-on pixels showing up.

Okay but they show up on normal light aswell, just harder to spot. Zoomed in on one of the pics

There is nothing you can do to 'fix' it. Every digital camera has them...

All you can do is clone them out. Some programs, like Lightroom, will automatically clone them out with everything at the default settings.

Sme cameras have the ability to map the dead pixels out.

Hot pixels show up more at longer exposures or higher ISOs. Put some decent lighting on your subjects
