DEFYING AGE!!

This lovely former dancer is 60 going on 20!! She is so beautiful inside and out!! She was an amazing subject to work with!! For number 3 and 4, she was actually sitting in a broken window of an old, abandoned building! It was black and dark behind her so I spot metered to expose for her skin so she wouldn't be underexposed and ended up getting a perfectly black backdrop!! A little over exposed and blown out....but I'm trying =))

Things are improving, aren't they? Now, start working on OCF and supplemental lighting - think of how much better #s 2, 3, 4 would look with proper exposure? You pretty much nailed the exposure in #5!

Typically people will home in on the things in an image that define what they don't want to see.

Maximize her good points and minimize her negative ones.
In the first pictures.you are displaying the droopy underarm of an aging person pointed out there so that its very obvious and it would take massive PS to make it less obvious.

In the third and fourth, the heavier thighs and sort of droopy bosom are prominent.

If she has a great face and lovely shoulders, focus on that.
Those poses where arms are sticking out really highlight the extended limbs. Is that what you want to show?

My guess us that she wants to be seen as if through the eyes of someone who loves her.
Emphasize the good points.

(she has some blanched areas on her nose and forehead. Those would be better fixed in the original raw file.)

Wow that edit is great! Can u tell me exactly what u did? Yeah she was a former dancer and was posing alongside her younger dancer friend. It was sort of a so long forever to dance photo shoot in part. But I agree not best positions.

Just a bunch of color and smoothing stuff then a touch up with Portrait Pro but the blanched spots on her forehead and nose make it difficult.
She has a nice shoulders and upper chest so that contributes a lot.

If you have the full-res original it would be better and would look terrific on a watercolor paper.

Eh...the first one has some sagging upper arm skin...It just doesn't look flattering.

And the third and fourth are kind of awkward. It kind of looks like she's presenting her ass like "you want some of this", which seems a bit slutty instead of elegant.

I like the fifth one, though. And the scarf is cool.
