This is a good image. The low quality and large amounts of noise throw me off of it though. I could see it being in a large groups of similar winter shots with the same sort of noise though. It would add some extra oomf to the image.

Noise isn't boring me that much (I think it's a film photograph). And though it's quite bidimensional, I love the mood. Since there aren't a lot of tones, I would boost up the contrast a little bit. Non that much, but it really seems to me the image is playing between the shapes and the white. Grey scale isn't that important here. Give it a try.

You're right!! I gave it a once over and thought those were pixels but now I realize it looks like grain.

I'm pretty fond of the Black and White to be honest.. I'd be sad to see it go color. But I guess it really is a matter of opinion.

What a great mood this photo has. Seems so lonely, but it also might be warm and cozy in that house. I love that bare hint of a tree on the left of the frame. Ethan Frome (Edith Wharton) was the first thing that came to mind.

Funny enough, especially when seen small, this initially reminded me of that famous B&W staged shot taken during the Great Depression in a dust storm.

I like how the processing comes across at this size, but maybe a solitary figure in the scene would have really made it, but you can't have everything most of the time! It's a good shot.

I really liked the loneliness of the scene and am pleased the feeling that it belongs somehow to an earlier age comes through here as this struck me as being so at the time. There was quite a bit of mist and fog around on this day, which really gave me the chance to get the mood just so.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll play around with the scan a bit and see what comes out.
