detroit zoo 7/21/09

hey

so i went to the zoo today and took these pics. im not looking for c/c as much as i wanted to share this great place with you guys. however if you do have a comment on them feel free to let me know. i know this is a lot of pics but i wanted to share these with you guys more than focusing on a couple for c/c

all were shot with a plain jain nikon d40 some with a 18-55, most with a 55-200vr and sb600 on a sc-28 cord.

I really like 1,5 and 10 but that one just because I love ducks and his face is too cute, too bad the focus is on his body. I would like 6 better if the pink flowers were not so brite, de saturate them maybe.

too bad the horse in #2 is under fed. He would have made a better subject if he wasn't skinny.

I like the rhinoceros shot (aren't they freaking looking animals?) Nice composition and dof with the peacock shot. And the angle at which you took the duck shot in #10 makes me smile. The others are fine too, but the listed ones are my faves.

thanks guys! i did notice about the horse being a bit thin i was wondering why its ribs were showing. seeing i know nothing about horses i decided it was just me

and i agree about the desaturating thing, thanks for pointing that out dreamer!
