It did sort of fall off, higher terrain on left, lower on right, there was a slight tilt in it as well though, look at the trees. in the original, they are growing up right to left not straight.

it's not a big deal, just a trick on the eyes really.

the trees were a good clue, and i have to admit i didn't spot that, A landscape like this can be tricky to get straight, I just assumed the mountains to the left were natural. Your crop deffinatly makes more sense.

looking at the full size edited one, no.
the shadow noise is huge, there is lots of haloing.
I would have tried sky and mountains on separate layers with less aggressive editing.

I think the sky is still too bright and there is too much of it. A crop will lead the eye to the mountains, which should be the dominant feature.
to answer your question I think you did.

Thanks for CC. I'm working on a re-edit myself and have cropped some of the sky. I completely missed that as I was too focused on fixing the rest.

I agree with he noise as I had to change the exposure in post quite a bit and couldn't get rid of more of it.

I looked closer and if you are mentioning the haloing at the top of the mountains, well it not actually haloing. It's a another type of cloud coming over the mountains. It had me fooled at first too.
I will take your layers suggestion and give a shot.
