Na I was thinking of donnie, but they are both examples of the same sort thing for differnt reasons. A love that was unrequited. But in Cyranno's case he would have jumped roxies bones in a second. Donnie on the other had was quite mad as you say. He saw Alonza as a great lady of the court, who was meant only to be an object of pure dispassionate love.
That kind of love is what was supposed to have been happening in the courts of the kings at the time. Therefore the term courtly love. More intrigue than lust, or so they claimed.
In the case of my little story it was more cyranno kind of thing. But in a different way. One of those electronic deep friendships not based in anything but pure concern and the caring, not lustful at all. But I can't give the story away. Someone might someday want to read it.
Actually it isn't the kind of thing I would normally write. I write mostly mystery and action adventure stuff.
