I recently bought a Nikon d7200 camera and it came with a AF-F NIKKOR 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6 GII Lens. I already own the AF-S NIKKOR 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6 G lens......I am wondering if anybody knows what the difference is. I was hoping to sell one of the two with my old camera, but not sure which one I should keep or if I should keep both. Any insight would be helpful. Thanks!
The newer model is just more compact and also retracts for further compactness. But I believe the optics and VR performance are the same.
the G II ED doesnt have VR. IIRC. that's an older lens that wasn't offered with the D7200. unless we are talking the VR II?
I assumed he was talking about the VR models haha. Maybe because he mentioned his D7200 came with the 18-55, but then realized, Nikon doesn't ship D7200 with the 18-55 anyways. Anyways, this has been discussed in the past if you are not talking about the VR models. What's the difference between the 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED and ED II?
