The pixel size issue isn't about heat. It's about signal-to-noise ratio.

Your camera not only has a smaller image sensor than the Nkon has, it has 5 million more, smaller pixels. That means each of your pixels captures less signal than the larger Nikon pixel. So your pixel has less signal for essentially the same amount of noise.

no i mean the exact lens and body, model numbers etc

Shooting at 1/10 will give you blurry photos, your photo was probably under exposed which wil give you more noise also it takes time and lots of practise to get photos like that

I must be doing something wrong then. I made some exposures last week, using a shutter speed 60 times longer, 6 seconds. They weren't blurry. :scratch:

i think he's taking working on the assumption account that he was doing it hand held, while im assuming that you used a tripod and remote trigger? lol
