Ding! Round II...Back in the city

Third day straight of street walking ( ). Whole different world for a country girl. I felt like I needed to be armed.

#1 - I liked the shadow on the street from the Slugger bat.

#3 - Homeless guy sleeping while standing up. I came back through about 30 minutes later and he was in the exact same position.

...Coming from what appears to be a large man, versus a woman on the streets alone

I'm fairly confident or I wouldn't be there but surprisingly the streets were pretty empty yesterday, considering it's Derby week. I guess choosing a Sunday was not a good idea on my part. I was okay until I would get in areas where I felt if I screamed not a soul would hear me. On those occasions I just gripped the 50D a little tighter and was ready to sacrifice it on someone's head if the need arose. :mrgreen:

Well Saturday would have been a better day as far as people go with about 500k on the river front for Thunder Over Louisville. However as the Kentucky Derby Fesitval goes on there will be plenty of chance to catch a good crowd downtown. WaterFront park will be hosting like 30 concerts between now and the Derby, plus the Great Steamboat race and the Balloon Race and Balloon Glow.

Well Saturday would have been a better day as far as people go with about 500k on the river front for Thunder Over Louisville. However as the Kentucky Derby Fesitval goes on there will be plenty of chance to catch a good crowd downtown. WaterFront park will be hosting like 30 concerts between now and the Derby, plus the Great Steamboat race and the Balloon Race and Balloon Glow.

Thanks and I would love to attend those events but only if someone else is driving. Brave yes, but not when it comes to the Derby mess. I've been in this area all my life but I've never attended any of the happenings, although last year I was able to see Thunder for the first time from the Galt House. That was an awesome day!
