Directional Lighting CC pls.

I was trying to do a directional lighting. Did I achieve it with this picture? CC anything also :) Thanks.

Exposure: 0.01 sec (1/100)
Aperture: f/5
Focal Length: 100 mm
ISO Speed: 160
Exposure Bias: 0 EV

Not bad, but that's not directional lighting. Directional lighting would be if you were to light only from the left side fo the frame, causing the child's right side to fade into shadow, or light the child's face from the top, causing shadows to appear in the deep portions of his face.

You did, however, add interest to what might otherwise be a bland photo, so not bad.
 
Looking at the photo again, I do see some shadow, and see where the light is coming from. If you had less ambient light, you might have gotten a more embellished directional effect.
