Disgusting private email

I have just received a very nasty email which I have to say I was disgusted.

It came as a private message via The Photo Forum. How did they get my email address.

I no longer wish to take part in this forum if this is the sort of mail i am going to receive.

I hope none of you receive the same.

you probably got some of the porn spam which was flooding in recently.

you can deactivate the email and the PM feature I think.

also, the spammer does not know your email when he sends via the forum.

there has been a major spam attack today, where spammers were sending private messages, the spammers don't have your email address but you probably have the option set to receive an email when you receive a PM.

Hopefully we have now banned all the spammers

I got the jeans one, not cool, but spam attacks do happen. Lets hope it was a one time deal!!!!!!!!!

Wow...I just got two today and I haven't even been out here to post in like forever. I'm with patdock, I don't want any part of this pm messaging. Disgusting:thumbdown::thumbdown:

Kinda funny, I pm'd someone along time ago when I signed on to ask a question and never heard from her, and then I get some crappy pm like this one.

I talked to my husband, who manages a forum and he said this was sent from someone on the board. Private messaging is done through the forum itself and unless they are having major security issues with their server, this is a member of the board doing this. Shame!!!

I think the management has probably fixed this already by banning this member, and hopefully they did an IP ban.

Haha... not that this isn't annoying but I'm always surprised when people are offended by spam. It's pretty much a natural part of using the internet... just delete emails you don't recognize and get on with it.

Finally found this forum again, see lost my ""favourite book marks"" due to a hard drive crash and now because of this e-mail found this place again :lol:
