Well...it's quite more than that. It's an action figure of Captain America, going under a professional knife in the professional hands with gloves of some kind of action figure craftman. I think that was light years beyond chance of misunderstanding. That said... The photograph by itself, without writings, isn't saying that much to me, while it is very informative about what's happening.
Don't be offended please. I just say what I think.

I think this image (especially the first with its DoF and Composition) is strong enough by itself. Perhaps not the strongest image ever made but it is the type of image that deserves to be in a series with other images of similar composition and narrative (as the OP stated he was planning on doing). That would add strength by repetition of the OP's ideas and show that this isn't some simple snapshot, rather that it's an image that had a lot of thought put into it.
