Divine in a Pine

I spotted this red shouldered hawk across the creek about 25 meters away in a pine tree and lucky for me he sat there for quite awhile, only changing positions.

Nice looking bird. Similar breast markings to our Sparrowhawk.

I think they are great images, nice and sharp, well composed. I like the background and the framing by the pine needles. The varying poses highlight the prehistoric look of his distant relatives.
