Do they make a night vision style of cam? Something that sees in the dark? (No, not high ISO cams, something on a different wavelength.)

Is the short answer - however chances are its going to cost you a fair bit to get because it will be specialist.

I have devised a DSLR way to get an InfraRed camera for night shooting. Simply get a DSLR (which must have live-view) modded for infra red photography (they remove an IR blocking filter in front of the sensor). This allows it to shoot like normal, but picking up much more IR light than normal. You then just need either IR flash units or an IR light source (bulbs) to light the scene at night to take the shot.

I'm sure other setups have been used, but its likely an area with high costs if you want commercial and lots of DIY if you want something very specific.

I had a Sony F-717 that had night vision. Probably find one on eBay pretty cheap.

Yes. One version of the Sony DSC-H9 (there were two) has a night vision mode. I have one at home.
