Does skyscape count as landscape?

Very nice light, have you tried cropping it into a pano and losing the top blue sky? Really gives the image a different look.

Interesting, I hadnt realized the A340 engine nacelles were extended so far in front of the wing.

I just tried it. It's too intense for me, the blank bits on top provides some free space for my eyes to relax. Maybe it's because I have been looking at the picture for too long.

So excuse me for my ignorance, but were you the one flying the plane? Or a friend? I don't understand how this works!

I can't tell if you are serious given your previous post. No I was not flying the plane. My friend wasn't flying the plane either. I simply sat in the part of the plane that had this view.

No, I'm completely serious. I didn't know. I've never been on a plane, I didn't think you could get a view like that! That's awesome!

You can, if you're lucky! I've seen some gorgeous sunsets out of the windows of airplanes. Unfortunately it was either before I got into "real" photography, or my camera is usually stowed as I'm trying to prevent one or both of my kids from getting bored. A friend of mine takes absolutely stunning plane window shots, they're amazing. He has one of Mt. Ranier flying into Seattle that would take your breath away.

And from what I can gather you are sitting about 9 or 10 seats away from the engine at the back when this view was taken.
