I'm trying to prove my friend wrong here.

Yes.

It definetely doesn't look like natural light...

It's actually pretty obvious that it's "other than natural" light.

What is your friend saying that you're tring to prove wrong?

Well I am trying to prove that it looks like studio lighting and wether it is or not I want you guys to answer cause I already know :p but its definitely not natural I know that much.

What's your definition of 'studio light'?

It could be natural light, coming into a dark room though a hole in the wall. ;)

Or the floor since the catchlights at the bottom of his irises and the shadows show the light was well below the camera.

But like Mike my first thought was, "Define studio light."

The catch lights in the eyes are a dead give-away. There's an artificial light source at play.

Yes...but you or I could probably fake that with natural lighting or Photoshop. ;)
