Doing Some Paparazzi Shots On Location at Sony Pictures Movie Set.

Well there is a Sony Pictures film crew shooting a unnamed TV series in the Florida keys and i have seen them around several places shooting and i was on photo shoot for local resort and they where filming on the only bridge that goes to where i was working. After i was done shooting shots for the resorts brochures i walked up the bridge on the bike path hoping to get some celebrity shots you never know right? Well half way up one of the film crew said hay "you cant be taking that big lens up there man". I kindly stated it was a public place and they cant restrict me photographing there. He said "We own the bridge today" he said as i walked on. I made my way up another 100 feet and leaned against the bridge's wall and started shooting almost of the crew that was there just started staring at me with smug looks it was really funny. And another guy came up and said i better not be fu*king taking his picture and this guy was pure a*s hole saying i better delete his photo i said sorry i can not do that you are public buddy so he went on with is business. After about 5 minutes of me standing there a local cop came over and said can you give them 100ft? I was nice and said OK but i think i could have said no i am in public property and you cant restrict me from being here but i did not want to push it. So i walked back down and changed to a 500mm from 70-200mm and was able to start snapping shots again.

I do not do this kind of work ever, So i am kinda of new to that feeling where you could tell that everyone staring at you just hated your guts. I also don't know movie stars so if any of you happen to recognize some one important in my photos please post it here who you think it might be.


One of the film crew said there is a few important actors there and i need to look hard at my photos but i don't see any one speical. So if you have time take a sec and go thought album i posted it to shutter-fly link is below

Also if you look at this one you can see the girl in the red dress is makeup to be dead or burned really bad.

I will be snapping shots of them again. I have drone that can carry my 5D mark iii with a 300mm on it so i will be about 70ft up in the air snapping away when they shoot again next week nothing they can do about that.

Well if they bother me enough they are filming near the private airstrip where i fly out of all the time, I have pilots license and i am certified on helicopters so me and my buddy are going to just go do touch and goes all day long in his Gyrocopter over the set. Good luck filming wile helicopter is running near by.

CAP, why don't you just let them work instead of being a righteous jerk?

Not to be blunt, but that's all that is happening here. The photos aren't up to snuff and you've got a bit too much time on your hands imho. How would you like it if someone walked in on your shoot and wouldn't leave, or at the very least stop being a distraction, when you asked?

I think this is a case of "all the gear no idea" none of the shots tell any story

Any media editor will tell you that it is not nearly close enough for that type of shot. Next time close up on people more. I would need to crop about 50% to use these images and even more.
