I could totally use the light stand and umbrella I would use it with 580 exii I am trying to get the flash off the camera I would use it for newborn, seniors a little boudair and kids. Eventually some wedding photography been trying to get the flash off and when money is tight every little bit helps. But even more thanks for showing people kindness!

This gear would be ok for learning.. but I wouldn't use it on a paying shoot.... we will see!

Sure! Keep in mind these are gold umbrella.. which will add a bit of warmth to whatever you shoot with them. It can be very flattering light when used properly, but it can also just get strange. But for learning the basics.. it would do ok. In the running!

This is a cool thing you're doing. I could certainly use some of it, as I still intend to start working on my portrait skills (which are currently non-existent) come this spring--but I'm not gonna throw my name in the hat; I'll let others benefit from your generosity here.

Now, if you wanna donate that little lens you picked up recently on CL to me...600mm, wasn't it? But I'm not greedy, I'd take it even if was only 400 or 500.

Boy I would like to throw my name in the hat,wanted to start trying to shoot portraits but have no lighting equipment or umbrellas or reflectors.
