What's new

don't really know what to do here

ive set up multiple meetings as well. Last time we met in may he said he would get right on it. Yet still nothing

Did you or him set a deadline?
He told me a month. Hes just a nice guy I really dont want to start getting too aggressive. I guess I have to be the bad guy.

Also, how long did it take you to decide what photos you wanted in your album? It's not all that uncommon for a client to take a year to get around to choosing the pictures they want in their album and then complain when they don't have it a few weeks later. Not saying that is what happened, but it's not exactly fair to start the clock the day of the wedding, either.

we decided last november

Business is business. You paid 4 G's for a service... therefore he needs to provide it. If your ducks are in a row, start putting pressure on him.

I image he recognizes that you and he have had a friendly relationship. He is taking advantage of your good nature. I think you both are going to have to feel some pain unless you decide that the current relationship is more important that the money you paid for this service and the product that you purchased. He sounds a bit lazy.

If you are uncomfortable with a verbal discussion that at this point must be stern and somewhat confrontational, I'd suggest a witten letter that outlines the facts, the missed timelines and I'd suggest that you frame out a final timelines that is on a specific drop dead date and one that is within a 30 days period for you to have in your hands the book. Don't be blown about by the wind any longer.

With that done you will either get what you want or have summed up for a Part II, if needed, to proceed against him in an even more unpleasant manner.

Good Luck, sorry to hear its so crummy.
